32 Protests across America and 18 in other countries held for the “plight of Soviet Jewry”

Rabbi Arthur Scheier spoke at the protest in Milwaukee in addition to Senator Nelson and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. via phone. In his speech Rabbi Arthur Scheier highlighted the restrictions imposed on the Jewish Community. The Rabbinical Seminary in Moscow was closed, no land is set aside for Jewish cemeteries, no prayer books have been printed, no unleavened bread available for Passover. These and other restrictions deny Soviet Jews the rights guaranteed to other Soviet people.
